Abstract

The peculiarities of the organization of process of construction of large public irrigation systems on the territory of Ukraine in the period after the Second world war in accordance with the «Great plan of transformation of nature».It is established that the construction of large public irrigation systems in Ukraine began in 1951 Stated that the water engineering that developed in the South of Ukraine, opened the prospects for a final elimination of the influence of drought and dry winds, the prospects of unprecedented economic boom in the area.We found that the implementation of large-scale promotion of the construction of hydropower plants on the Dnieper the Soviet government once again demonstrated his negative attitude to the village. The construction of the Kakhovka, Dneprodzerzhinsk, Kremenchug, Kiev hydroelectric power plants led to forced resettlement of large masses of the rural population from areas subject to flooding. This action was really a giant in its scale and negative social consequences. It is proved that the planned plans to transform nature and, in particular, development of the irrigation system, were rather contradictory. In the Soviet and post-Soviet period many subjects related to the study of climatic conditions of Ukraine has been studied, as well as their impact on the level of agricultural productivity, development and practical implementation of the Great plan of nature transformation and the study of economic and environmental consequences of its implementation. However, despite the achievements, the topic we raised is poorly studied, there are no special generalization works. This is the necessity of further research and comprehensive coverage. The features of the organization of the construction of large public irrigation systems in Ukraine in the period after the Second World War, according to the Great plan of nature transformation are studied.
