Condition and religious dynamics network of independent Ukraine
AbstractReligious network in Ukraine to form religious organizations and other components. According to Ukrainian law religious organizations are: religious communities, administrations, сenters, monasteries, religious brotherhoods, missionary societies (missions), religious schools. They form the basis of the religious network in Ukraine, and religious communities account for nearly 96% of all religious organizations. In addition, the organizational structure of the religion include the clergy; religious buildings; schools and the media, religious based organizations, and others.Analysis of the organizational component of religious structures since independence of Ukraine shows growth of any and all of its components. Over 25 years of independence, there was an increase institutional network of religious organizations is almost three times, and since the beginning of religious liberalization (1988) – nearly six times. Growth of the religious network in Ukraine is constantly on the decline, although the numerical value of the number of religious organizations is growing steadily. If the period 1988-1991 biennium сan be interpreted as a religious «boom» when the number of communities increased annually by an average of a few tens of percent, with 1992 growth dynamics decreased slightly and during the 1990’s аlmost does not exceed an annual 10%. Since the XXI century, dynamics slowed further during the first decade and almost every year does not exceed 5%. Later, in 2010’s, the growth rate continues to slow down religious organizations and does not exceed 1-2% annually. This indicates that in the early 2000s in Ukraine completed extensive development of the religious network, giving way to a moderate to intense development. As of January 1, 2016, in Ukraine operates a powerful religious network that consists of 34,183 religious communities; 86 religious centers; 292 religious administrations; 516 monasteries, which are obedience 6,901 persons; 359 missions, 75 brotherhoods, 198 religious schools, which enrolled about 20 thousand students; 31,851 priests, 804 of them – foreigners; 28,841 religious buildings and adapted for prayer; 12,179 schools and 484 media founded by religious organizations.
