Abstract

The article is attempts to generalization fragmentary information about insurgent movement in the Kupyansk district of Kharkov province against the Bolshevik regime in 1919­1921.First of all , the obvious is the fact that modern scholars dealing with Ukrainian revolution in his historical studies , above all, pay attention to global, ambitious and unprecedented event ­ such as , for example, Makhnovshchina , second winter campaign , the activities of the Central Council or bright symbolic personalities as Tyutyunnik Yu , M. Grigoriev , S. Petljura et al. While as a matter of local history remains aloof thorough research professional historians and confirms or denial of certain theses and conclusions in a more global events . General relevance of this study is only growing due to the fact that the regional dimension of the history of Ukrainian peasant insurgency requires particularly careful and , most importantly, objective study.The author of the article highlights the main political directions of peasant movement in Kupyansk province. There are: an independent and anarchists.analyzes the complex reasons for the fight against establishment of Soviet power, among which the main ones are the unresolved agrarian question and the policy of «military communism»;makes an attempt to establish the names of forgotten leaders of the rebel groups and follow some milestones of their military glory;and determines the causes of the decline organized mass anti­Bolshevik movement, decisive of which are: the transition to new economic Policy (NEP) and the general dispersion of the rebel struggle.
