Abstract

The article describes the mechanism of realization of individual freedom in modern society, found major gender differences and analyzes their impact on selfidentity, and defined features and role socialization of gender identity. We study the concept of masculinity and femininity, also contemporary gender stereotypes and their impact on the social behavior. Femininity and masculinity along with identity are considered very significant personality characteristics that determine gender features are considered signs of masculinity or femininity. Masculinity can be defined as a system of personality traits that are traditionally considered masculine. Masculinity is associated with qualities such as independence, activity, curiosity, risk appetite, the ability to progress. The inner world of man is more orderly and systematic than the world of women. Among the negative traits of masculinity are often considered rude, authoritarianism, aggression, excessive rationalism. The conclusion is that gender roles should be flexible and carried out in various family members, depending on the circumstances and urgent problems of individuals that make up each particular family. Also, gender roles in society as a whole can be interchangeable and implemented by individuals according to their natural abilities and physiological characteristics. The development of any individual indirect assimilation of gender roles as socially conditioned variants gender roles and genderrole behavior. Features role socialization is not only mastering social expectations to social roles and role and personal development. The process of genderrole socialization of men and women have many differences. Each person has the ability to free development through self-knowledge, self-realization and self-affirmation. For self-preservation, the person has a huge potential of freedom, although social cohabitation and needs some kind of restriction of freedom. According to K. Popper, unlimited freedom in social coexistence means nothing "that a strong person is able to deprive a person of a person who is weaker than himself, and therefore one should demand such restriction of freedom by a state in which the freedom of every individual will be protected by law". So, right and freedom are interrelated categories, which ultimately gives all grounds to consider them in terms of this unity. Topics of unity of law and freedom, free development of personality, despite national, worldview and gender differences today are one of the most complex, most important and most relevant in sociology. That is, in this context, freedom for an individual acquires the status of fundamental and basic value, while the right to its implementation takes direct part in the life of the individual. Under such conditions, the unity of law and freedom is a prerequisite for the harmonious development of each society.
