Empirical sociological study of gender-specific manipulative technologies in the field of legal proceedings: the problem of constructing tools
AbstractThe article is devoted to the problem of correlation of gender stereotypes of key gender ideologies and related gender-specific technologies of manipulative influence in the sphere of family legal proceedings. As a result of achieving the goal and realizing the objectives of the article, the author comes to the conclusion that the construction of a system of empirical indicators is based on the key hypotheses of the empirical study concerning the prevalence of the logic of «double standards» in gender ideology as an integral part of the social morality. According to this «logic», what is considered gender representatives of one gender community as gender manipulation and even gender violence, in relation to representatives of another gender community is assessed as a social norm. The evaluation of relevant gender-specific manipulative technologies as legitimate derives from the tacit agreement of practicing lawyers with the social morality of matriarchal racism, which contains a system of implications for the gender inferiority of men and allows them to adopt appropriate discriminatory practices in the field of family justice. The greatest manipulative potential, according to the author, is the norms referring to the little-clarified norms of «public morality», the very vagueness of which makes possible the derivative of it gender manipulation with unfavorable legal consequences for men.
